Rabada: We believe as a group that we can win

Kagiso Rabada believes South Africa can win from this situation.

โ€œBelief is everything. We believe as a group that we can win. We will give it our best shot.โ€

The South African pace ace was all admiration for Dean Elgarโ€™s unbeaten half-century. โ€œHeโ€™s leading from the front. But he knows the job is not done yet.โ€

Talking about the pitch, Rabada who scalped four on day four, said, โ€œOn the first day, the pitch was slow. After that, it has quickened up. The surface now has pace, lift and seam movement.โ€

Asked about debutant left-arm seamer Marco Jansen, Rabada said, โ€œHeโ€™s a phenomenal talent. Heโ€™s tall, gets bounce, has pace and swing as well.โ€

Rabada added, โ€œBeing a left-armer, heโ€™s an awkward bowler to face. I think he justified his selection in the second innings.โ€

Sharing his thoughts on the Indian pacemen, Rabada said, โ€œShami has experience, Bumrah too. Siraj too is bowling well. They all have pace and movement.โ€

Asked if the South African were looking at rain forecast for the final day to enable them to salvage a draw, Rabada replied, โ€œYou cannot depend on the uncontrollables. You got to be prepared to play your best cricket.โ€
