Sunday Night Football DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 14 Bears-Packers Showdown tournaments

Week 14’s Sunday Night Football installment features one of the NFL’s premier rivalries: Bears vs. Packers. Quarterback Justin Fields is slated to make his return under center after a multi-week absence. While it was tempting to take advantage of his high DFS upside, we’re going to leave him out of our DraftKings Showdown lineup this week. Instead, we’re going to feature his top offensive weapons and keep our fingers crossed that Fields doesn’t rush for 100-plus yards and a score (or two).

Before we get into our picks, here are the key DraftKings Showdown rules: It’s  full-point PPR, and there are three-point bonuses for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. The Captain picks costs 1.5 times a player’s original price, but he also gets his point total multiplied by 1.5.

DraftKings Showdown Picks: Bears vs. Packers

$50,000 budget, need at least one player from each team.

Captain (1.5x points, 1.5x salary) RB AJ Dillon, Packers ($6,600)

Dillon is expected to fully resume his role as the 1B to Aaron Jones’ 1A in the Packers’ backfield, but that doesn’t mean he can’t or won’t make a dent as our “Captain.” Packers coach Matt LaFleur has demonstrated that he’s able and willing to provide two backs with fantasy-friendly workloads. We’re hoping to find the right blend of high-scoring potential and savings.

FLEX WR Davante Adams, Packers ($11,600)

Adams’ 115 targets account for a whopping 29.2-percent share and outpaces the next closest in the target department by 48. As Aaron Rodgers’ top read, both in and outside of the red zone, Adams will be able to win with quantity and quality on Sunday.

FLEX RB Aaron Jones, Packers ($11,600)

Jones returned from a one-game absence in Week 12 and now has the added benefit of the Week 13 bye. Presumably closer to full health, Jones can be expected to resume his role as the clear leader of the Packers’ backfield. Even if Jones cedes a little extra work to Dillon, he still has the ability to post a big number on Sunday night.

FLEX RB David Montgomery, Bears ($10,000)

Montgomery leads the Bears in touches (154) by a wide margin in spite of missing four contests. He caught a season-high eight passes on nine targets in Week 13, further demonstrating the upside he presents, particularly in DraftKings’ PPR scoring. The sledding won’t necessarily be smooth against the Packers, but Montgomery has eclipsed 20-plus DraftKings points on three occasions this season.

FLEX WR Darnell Mooney, Bears ($8,400)

Mooney has claimed the No. 1 spot in the pass-catching pecking order — a trend that began even before Allen Robinson hit the shelf with a hamstring injury. Even with Robinson set to return, we like Mooney’s big-play potential and versatility. He found the end zone on a designed wide receiver run in Week 9.

FLEX WR Jakeem Grant, Bears ($2,800)

Grant offers intriguing potential for a player we’re treating as a “punt” in this lineup. His snaps have increased in recent weeks, culminating in a season-high 48 in Week 13. He turned the added opportunity into a 5-62-1 line and 17.2 DraftKings points. Often deployed as a gadget player, Grant will likely have opportunities on short passes, designed runs, and special teams.
