What time is the 2021 Grey Cup today? Schedule, channel and time for CFL championship game

The last Grey Cup was played on Nov. 24, 2019. Nearly 750 days later, the CFL is once again ready to crown a champion.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Hamilton Tiger-Cats will face off on Sunday in a rematch of the 2019 game. The Blue Bombers, who came out on top two years ago and are looking to capture “back-to-back” titles after the 2020 CFL season was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, are considered the betting favorites heading into the contest. However, the Tiger-Cats will have the benefit of playing at Tim Hortons Field, their home stadium.

“Hamilton feels like home to me, so anytime you can stay in your own house, sleep in your own bed, there’s always a little bit of an advantage,” Hamilton quarterback Dane Evans said.

Taking down Winnipeg won’t be easy, though. Zach Collaros, who was recently named the league’s Most Outstanding Player, will lead a Blue Bombers offense that can put up points in a hurry.

“I think you always want to start fast. In a perfect world, you always do,” Collaros said. “But there’s always ebbs and flows in a game; adversity strikes — our last game is a perfect example of that. So, obviously, the plan is to go out there and execute. When you execute, you start fast, but, we’ll have to weather some storms I imagine at some point, and our guys are going to do that.”
